What? The FUQ!
![]() | Welcome to The FUQ! That's "Frequently Unasked Questions," in case you were wondering. Anyways, we will try to answer any questions that you may ask before you attend a show. Likewise, we will attempt to answer any questions that you may ask after seeing a show as well. Sometimes, we may answer questions that you'll have asked while seeing the show. Although, with all the noise, we may not hear all of them. Also, depending on what we've had to drink that night, we may give you the answers that nobody has asked yet: "42!" and "Wow! I did not know you could pierce that!" There you go. Now, read on... |

We are an above-the-law society that was established to control the sexual prohibition here in Columbus, OH. But, as far as you know, we are the official shadowcast and cabaret group that performs The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
It is the movie in which we perform with. It came out in 1975, and stars Tim Curry (Clue; Stephen King's "IT"), Susan Sarandon (Thelma & Louise; The Banger Sisters), Barry Bostwick (Spy Hard; Spin City), Richard O'Brien (Dark City; Dungeons & Dragons), Patricia Queen (Monty Python's The Meaning of Life; Doctor Who), Nell Campbell (Pink Floyd's "The Wall"; Great Expectations), and Meat Loaf (Wayne's World; Fight Club). The movie itself is a mix of music, classic horror, and fantasy. You can read more about it on the Wikipedia page.
Unfortunately, not at the time of this writing. So, what are you waiting for? Go create us one and then let us know, so we can finally update this answer! However, you may be interested in knowing that we are the featured picture that is used for the entry of the Doo Dah Parade. We thank whomever it was that took that and posted it
The movie is rated "R" by the Motion Picture Association of America. This cast is rated "X" by an entirely different group of people!
You can find us every month (usually on the first Saturday) at Studio 35 Cinema & Drafthouse. If the time is right, you can also catch us performing at MARCon and marching in the Doo Dah Parade. If you can book us in time, we do make special appearances at other places and also in your living room.
We have been together since 2003, and have always performed at Studio 35. If you are a Columbus native, you may remember the Rocky Horror cast at the old Graceland theater. That theater holds the title as one of the longest running RHPS showings in United States! What you may not know is that The Fishnet Mafia is an incarnation of that old cast.
Well, you'll see the audience all dressed up and most of the cast in their underwear. On other nights, the cast will be dressed up and the audience will be in their underwear. That usually happens during the Pre-Show, though.
The Pre-Show is the part of the show that happens before the actual movie. After we get the rules and announcements out of the way, we start having fun with the virgins.
A virgin is someone that has not had sex yet. In the Rocky Horror community, the term is used to brand somebody who has not seen the movie yet. Sorry kids, but watching it on TV does not count! That's just masturbating, which is never as good as the real thing. However, The Fishnet Mafia uses this term to brand someone who has not seen our show before!
What?!?!?!? And spoil the surprise? Come to the show and find out! But, we will say this: Make sure you wear clean underwear!
You will experience the most memorable night of your life! You will become a part of something special, yell at the movie screen, throw things in the air, and fulfill some of your wildest fantasies.
Especially fantasies about the cast! We know you want us, and the truth is - we want you too! But, we are shy. So very shy. Oh, and also timid. That's why it's up to you to buy Kisses For Cash.
It's a way to satisfy your desires and for us to make money. If you see a cast member that you would like to make out with, just go up to them and give them some time and money...mostly money.
That works too! We have lots of audience members that we consider close and personal friends. No money is needed for that. Unless of course, you want to buy us drinks, take us out to dinner, and see a movie. Going to The Rocky Horror Picture Show does not count!
Wow! You like us. You really, really like us. And now, you want to be a part of us? Well, alright then. The best thing to do is listen for any announcements that are made at the show. Usually, we will have the corresponding casting calls up on the website as well. If you at least want to get your name in, talk to one of our cast members. Eventually, the decision to bring you on will be decided by a cast vote.
No! We do this for the love of the movie, the art of performing, and our over-sexed libidos. Also, we get in for free and get cheaper beer.
The Fishnet Mafia, as a whole, only performs The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Also, there are special occasions where we perform with other RHPS casts in Ohio. However, there have been a few of us that has performed in productions of Hedwig and the Angry Inch; Shock Treatment; and Clue. A great game to play during the show is trying to figure who has been in what production.
Due to contrary belief, the people who work at Studio 35 are not officially on cast. But, we love them just the same! Being on cast requires you to strip down to your underwear at various points of the show. Being an employee requires you to not wear any underwear at various points of the show. We know...it's weird. However, there can be no full nudity in order to coincide with the theater's beer regulations. Therefore, the people behind the counter are not allowed on stage. Likewise, the people up on stage are not allowed behind the counter. So it end, it all works out.
